Liam Payne has taken to Twitter to slam the fake gay naked photographs which were posted on social media sites over the weekend.

Liam clarified on Twitter: "Wow as if people think that weird photo going around is actually me lol think I'd rather tweet a full frontal than have people look at that."

The images, which have been photoshopped, show the man (meant to be Liam Payne) sat on a bed naked wearing just a black cap and another man has been added to the photograph showing a sexual act. The photos did not appear on 4chan or Reddit and are thought to be unrelated to the celebrity phone hacking scandal, also known as the biggest breach of privacy in recent history.

Liam Payne obviously came under fire over his first tweet, and had to tweet a second message to defend himself: "I'm 100% not homophobic. But I'm also 100% not gay so when somebody says I am I'm gunna say I'm not which does not make me a homophobe."

Liam has been dating his girlfriend Sophia Smith since 2013.
