Audiences who had to weather a downpour clearly showed no signs of dampened spirits as they cheered the fest’s opening gala dancers on ice skates, then rose to their feet to applaud guests Crowe and Alicia Vikander, both of whom accepted honors for their robust range of film work.

The results of a consultation on Norfolk County Council's plans for a Third River Crossing in Great Yarmouth have been published showing significant support for the new bridge to be built. Construction of the new lifting bridge over the River Yare is due to begin in late 2020 and would see a bridge built linking the A47 at Harfrey's Roundabout on the western side of the river to South Denes Road on the eastern side of the river.

Indiana police have released shocking video of a gun-toting man who ambushed officers with an AR-15 after allegedly killing his neighbor.  Barry Freeman, 51, opened fire on multiple officers of the Evansville Police Department after they responded to a shots fired call along North Kentucky Avenue shortly after 9pm Friday night.   After ambushing officers, Freeman shot and killed neighbor, Jeffrey Kempf, 56, before he was shot and killed by a SWAT Team member of the department.
