Unless you've been living under a rock, you'll probably know about the Uniqlo bag by now. I mean, you've probably got (at least) one of them slung across your body in one of the now-viral colours right now. And I'm here to tell you that the brand has done it again: the new Uniqlo bag really does deserve a place in your accessories collection.

This might be hard to believe. After all, if you walk along the streets of any big city, in the UK and beyond, you'll see the roomy round mini shoulder bag carried by everyone and their mum. The hashtag #uniqlobag has 97.9 million views on TikTok alone. The moon-shaped, cross-body bag was the most searched for item for the first three months of the year, according to Lyst. And for just £14.90, it's easy to see why.

However, like I said, everyone's go-to brand for well-made basics might have gone and triumphed in a way nobody could have expected. The cross-body bag was the style of spring. But its new two-way utility bag is set to be the carryall of the summer – and beyond.

Now, this bag is twice the price, at £29.90. But for that, you get two bags for the price of one – yes, it transforms from a tote to a backpack in an instant. Plus, it's water-repellent, has pockets (joy) and offers even more room to fit everything from a laptop to your gym kit, or maybe even a little summer picnic. Social media has even hailed it as the ultimate back-to-school/college/uni tote.

The bag currently comes in olive and black, but with comments pleading for more colourways (and Uniqlo responding to them on TikTok), it looks like more shades might be on their way. It's even sold out in some territories, it's time to add-to-bag now (and, let's be honest, invest in all the other potential new shades later on, too).
